A man arrested for attempted car break-ins was released from custody by Secaucus Police only to immediately attempt another car break-in outside the police station. This incident highlights a concerning pattern of behavior immediately following law enforcement interaction.
- Brayan Perez, 24, of Paterson, was initially arrested at the Red Roof Inn parking lot for allegedly attempting to break into parked cars.
- He was charged with Burglary and Theft and released with a summons to appear in court.
- Minutes after his release, Secaucus Police officers observed Perez attempting to open the door of a civilian vehicle parked in the police headquarters' lot.
- Perez was subsequently charged with Trespassing for this second incident.
